PS3/X360 gamers are core gamers who love playing immersive and graphics rich games on a big screen TV with a proper controller – totally different market. They will buy PS4/X1 by the boatload. These gamers play mobile games on the go or on the train, etc… but get very bored very quickly of mobile games like Angry Birds, Candy Crush, etc… with repetitive, restrictive touch screen controls.

(Also, if Sony and Microsoft can open up fast growing countries like China, Brazil, India, etc…, then they could sell double the number, the problem is piracy is rampant in these countries.)
