The first-person shooter Payday 2 that revolves around organizing high-profile heists in co-op fashion has sold over 1.58 million copies — with Starbreeze noting it as a big success.
Revealed in a note to investors released yesterday, 80% of the game’s sales were digital.
Developed by Overkill Software, a Starbreeze subsidiary, Payday 2 was published by 505 Games on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, while its precursor was a PlayStation 3-exclusive.
