At its special PlayStation Japan press conference, Sony announced a brand new PS Vita model, one that’s slimmer and lighter, along with a slew of games for the handheld. Trailer and details below.
The new Vita will go on sale in Japan in October for 19,929 yen ($200). The new Vita also comes built in with 1GB memory, an extra hour of battery life, MICRO USB type B, universal standard for the transferring of data, and a multitude of colors. One downside, however, is that the new model no longer features an OLED screen, but rather LCD.
Sony also announced a 64GB memory card for the portable console, going on sale in Japan on October 10th.
