Thirsty Conversations: Xbox One Is No Longer Identifiable, Will You Buy It?

The original Xbox One, announced in May at a special event, and later at E3 in June, is no longer identifiable. Microsoft has reversed all its major policies for the console, the latest being Kinect.

DRM – 180

Indies – 180

Headset – 180

Kinect – 180

The things which made the console what it was are no longer there, so what we’re left with is a box that will simply play games.

The question now is, will you buy Xbox One?

I wont day one,but I plan on picking one up on CL maybe summer of 2014 after E3. I feel all the 180s are damaging over time. This also gives the phenomenon of nerd rage too much power. Folks got on the interwebs are went full nerd rage on MS. So instead of trusting the people who run the hugely successful company to make decisions, they fall prey to the nerd ragers. While I wasnt a fan of the original policies, I was going to show that with my wallet. All these changes will be bad for the industry in the long run(in my humble opinion).

Good thoughts Benzo. Because of Kinect not being mandatory, I’ll pick up an Xbox One down the line. Maybe like you in later 2014 or later.

But they’re between a rock and a hard place aren’t they?

remove kinect, lower the price and maybe i’ll consider buying one down the road.
