Gearbox announces Homeworld, Homeworld 2 re-releases and HD remakes

At PAX Australia, Gearbox revealed that they’re working on HD remakes of the retro Homeworld and Homeworld 2 games. Atop that, the company will release raw re-releases of the original titles.

As of now, no pricing or release date for either the HD versions or the re-releases has been announced, but company boss Randy Pitchford says a “small team” inside Gearbox is working hard on the games. Can this signal a Homeworld 3? Definitely, yes, it’s the logical assumption. This is just the start.
