You Can Play Your Xbox One Disc-Based Games While They’re Installing, Microsoft Says (Update)

Update: The same applies for games purchased digitally, so that’s great news. Original Story: Microsoft has told Polygon that gamers will be able to play their Xbox One disc-based games while they’re still being installed in the background.

This isn’t a big feature at all, as I’d expect that to be the case with any next-gen system. PS4 does the same thing, but unlike Sony, Microsoft hasn’t confirmed if the same applies to digitally-purchased titles, where, on PS4, games can be played while they’re being downloaded on the console’s hard drive. hopefully we’ll get confirmation soon.
