Thirsty Conversations: With DRM Policies Dropped, Will You Now Buy Xbox One?

Thirsty Conversations: With DRM Policies Dropped, Will You Now Buy Xbox One?

Today has been a big win for gamers, and I can’t emphasize BIG enough. After an earth-shaking rebuttal from gamers and PS4 preorders outpacing Xbox One 8-to-1 in some locations, Microsoft has universally changed its Xbox One DRM policies to something gamers will accept.

The console will now play used games and allow you to do whatever you wish with them – just like Xbox 360. It will not require an internet connection to play games, and the upcoming machine, to be released later this year, is now region-free.

Microsoft has inadvertently forged the Xbox 180.

So then, gamers, with the software giant backpedaling so far to please you, will you buy Xbox One?

Let’s talk. Do it here: The official Gamesthirst DRM-free zone.

I don’t think there was anything inadvertent about their 180. Everything they were doing was too stupid to last.

  • ernicegilbert

True. Now PS4 has an advantage in the U.S. and a great portion of the mindshare. Their mistakes will haunt them all next gen.

idunno i might just get both systems but not right away

  • ernicegilbert

Microsoft has a lot of repairing to do, that’s for sure. Many gamers are still on the fence.

  • SHAD0WBOXER

no doubt on that, i’m still iffy on the xbox one it brought a lot of disappointment to me and most of the people i know.

  • ernicegilbert

Same here. I’ve already preordered PS4… MS intentions were on full display throughout this debacle.

Many assumed that EA’s decision about cancelling their Always-Online and Online Pass with their games was because they were aware that Xbox One would require your games to be new.

    Now what?

EDIT: Oh nevermind, lol. I just saw your article “After Xbox 180, EA Says It Won’t Bring Back Online Passes”
    Hehe.
