Sony Computer Entertainment UK chief Fergal Gara confirmed that cross-game chat is finally a thing on PS4, and revealed some more details on PS Plus and how their was great “agony” within Sony before a final decision was made concerning charging for PS Plus.
Gara also said that the added revenue from PS Plus would help the company recoup the great amount of money it’s now spending to get PS4 on the market, and will also help in establishing a world-class online network that is both resilient and full of social tools.
Gara added that the new PS Plus subs “applies across three consoles, includes content across all three consoles,” meaning one purchase of PlayStation Plus will give you access across platforms, including PS4, PS Vita and PS3.
PS Plus subscribers will get a free, downloadable version of Drive Club, as well as an unannounced offering and continued delivery of other well-known PS Plus favorites.
