Microsoft: If Your Xbox One Account Gets Banned, You Lose All Your Games

Microsoft’s Xbox Support twitter account has confirmed that if a user’s Xbox One Live account gets banned, said user loses all their games associated with the account.

This is really steep. What if an account gets banned by mistake? Also, what if Microsoft decides to change its policies to become even more draconian? What if one gets suspended, what happens then?

I think if I purchase something, then it belongs to me forever. But then again, you never really “buy” Xbox One games, you simply borrow the licence to use it with your hard earned cash.
