Update: Square-Enix has just confirmed that Final Fantasy XV will also be released on Xbox One. Original Story: Sony announced at its E3 press conference that Final Fantasy XV would come exclusively to PS4. Big news.
Many gamers were surprised that the game even got announced as Final Fantasy XV with a new trailer to boot, far less as a PS4 exclusive. But why would Square-Enix release the game only on Sony’s platform?
Rumors ran rampant for quite some time that Sony used its own money to develop FFVX, however it as never confirmed or denied. But if indeed Final Fantasy XV is exclusive to PlayStation, then one must assume that Sony might have had a financial role in its development.
