Xbox One And PS4 Amazon Preorder Sales Neck-N-Neck In UK

Xbox One And PS4 Amazon Preorder Sales Neck-N-Neck In UK

Amazon UK has revealed that PS4 and Xbox One preorder sales are just about tied, with Xbox One trending higher by approximately 2.3 percent.

According to Xavier Garambois, VP of retail at Amazon EU, speaking on the stats of PS4 and Xbox One, it is not yet clear which console will have the advantage going into November.

It’s not clear yet which of the two will have the edge when they launch later this year – what’s certain, though, is that fans are already excited about how the next generation of consoles will change the world of gaming and home entertainment.

Ketu Patel, head of video games at Amazon UK added:

Both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are set to have a huge impact, not just in terms of cutting edge games but also as part of the way in which families enjoy home entertainment.

It will be fascinating to see how the battle between the two console giants develops over the coming months – the fight for who’s going to be the must-have Christmas present is only just beginning.

It’s quite a thing that after Microsoft’s Xbox One DRM plans have caused such a backlash that the console is still trending higher than PS4 in sales in the UK. It goes to show the strength of the Xbox brand in said region.

Have your preordered any of the consoles yet?

Thanks, VG247.
