Microsoft has once more shuffled its plans for the next Xbox, as it will no longer offer a subsidized model of the console, and technology it says will not be ready until a few years from now, IllumiRoom, will now be part of the reveal event.
Respected blogger and Microsoft know-all, Paul Thurrott, has once more dished out the news via his twitter account, news given to him by the ever so accurate sources. Thurrott revealed the Xbox’s event date long before it was confirmed by Microsoft, so it’s safe to say the man has sources on the inside of Redmond.
A couple of Xbox news tidbits ahead of the launch… Illumiroom will be part of Tues event, subsidized Xbox v.Next model has been scrapped.

This means then, that Microsoft will only make available one version of its new console for $499, unless it plans to take a loss and sell it for cheaper, or unless there are some other plans we don’t know about yet.
Microsoft will reveal the next Xbox tomorrow. For all times check here.
