Sony has officially announced the heavily-anticipated racing simulator, Gran Turismo 6, and a leaked press release obtained by iAfrica reveals the game’s release date as Holiday 2013. No word as to whether it’ll will be released on PS4.
Gran Turismo 6 development was confirmed in 2010 when series creator Kazunori Yamauchi talked openly about the project in an interview.
The original Gran Turismo launched in Japan in December 1997 before releasing globally the following year. Gran Turismo is Sony’s best-selling franchise to date, with unit sales of almost 68 million as of November 2012.
