That or always-online, and I can already see myself not buying one. My new connection is at ~6.10Mbps and doesn't drop often, but hell am I not risking it. Always-online should stay where it belongs to -- MMO's. I doubt Microsoft would be that dumb to implement it anyway, but never say never. Sony's won even over some Xbox people with the Playstation 4, it's their move, and they know that this would instantly throw them out of the race.

I"m also hearing that the console won't even boot up if Kinect 2.0 isn't connected. Meaning you MUST use Kinect. smh.

I don't know. Not too excited. Even if the rumours aren't true, Microsoft has shown me that they're more app-oriented than game-oriented... on a gaming console. And what's funny in all that? While I would like a couple of those apps, they never became part of Greece's Xbox Live, which means, I pay 35€/year for Xbox Live for playing online, while the ads say I'm getting this and that and all that. When my country's service doesn't provide me with anything from Netflix to Pizza Hut apps (yeah...), why not lower the price? Not to mention that, despite a very respectable Xbox audience in Greece, they don't bother with Greek at all.

That's why I prefer Sony. Fully translated first-party games, from Uncharted to God of War and Sly 4, with Greek voice-overs, Greek support pages -- they show that they care about a country which is Sony-faithful, but not Sony-exclusive. They try to win us. What does Microsoft do, in the gaming department (I'm using Windows)? They act like "it's another country". While I'm not implying we're anything special compared to other countries, the company has to make you feel special if they expect you to buy from them, and that's not fanboyism, it's just logic. They have a Rewards program for Japan, and not for Greece? They sell nothing, from hardware to software, with the Xbox brand on it in Japan, and the Greek market is bigger for that console here, but hey, let's reward them instead of both -- at least.

That said, my expectations are low. A Kinect-based show, new apps, "your Xbox can hear you when you're sobbing and give you a beer" stuff -- all but gaming.
