As Interest In Wii U Fades, Nintendo Gives Away Free Dev Kits

In an effort to bolster interest in its flailing console, Nintendo is said to be giving away free development kits to developers, hoping to rekindle excitement for the machine that, even after retailer-enacted price cuts, has failed to show positive numbers.

A Wii U dev kit is normally priced at $5,000, however it’s now being given away free of charge, according to Nintendo Life.

Damn that’s cold for Nintendo. Giving away indirect money.

And with the PS Vita now selling much more than the Wii U: http://www.psvitahub.com/2013/04/ps-vita-outsells-wii-u-in-japan-again.html

    GO SONY!

LOL Nintendo is pretty desperate, are they not? I don’t think anyone really cares about the console right now, get some more games on it
