So this is not cool. Not cool to those, including me, who’ve grown up with Metal Gear Solid, and knowing David Hayter as the coolest cat in town because he’s always voiced Snake. In MGS5: The Phantom Pain, however, he won’t be.
The news was tweeted by Hayter himself, who revealed that Kojima didn’t even give me a call.

It’s a shame that they didn’t even ask him, he did such a great job in the previous games.
Wtf, why not keep him? He was amazing! He’s the voice of Snake, darn it!

Nick, dude this is not silly and small like you suggest. David Hayter IS Snake, if you know what I mean. I hope it’s because, for some reason, Snake won’t be around in the game this time? Maybe it’s Big Boss, although all their voices were identical.
Whatever the reasons, it’s disappointing. Not the end of the world, but disappointing.

nick doesn’t understand this problem ernice, his favorite games is stuff like crysis where the game doesn’t have one memorable character period and the story sucks.
Yeah, don’t really like Crysis at all. Pretty visuals, but I’m BIG on story so… Yeah.
And Nick, if he’s truthful to himself, being such a big fan of gaming as he is, should know that Snake will be severely missed in MGS5. Come on man, Nick. If you say you don’t get it why Hayter will be missed, then you know not Metal Gear Solid.
