Gran Turismo PS4 Outed After Facebook Faux Pas

A Italian automobile company has mistakenly leaked the existence of a Gran Turismo game for PlayStation 4, after it posted photos with Polyphony Digital devs at its company taking pictures of a racing car.

The photos were uploaded to LM Gianetti’s Facebook page last night in an album titled “SCANSIONE PER GRAN TURISMO PS4″, which translates to “SCAN FOR GRAN TURISMO PS4″.

The album title was later changed to “Scanning”, and was soon after deleted altogether.

LM Gianettia appears to specialize in providing special parts for racing cars and bikes, according to the company’s website.

Sony itself has yet to confirm a Gran Turismo game for PS4, however the firm’s made mention two years ago that indeed, GT6 was under development.

Thanks, Videogamer.

Hopefully the developers are making a Grand Turismo for the Vita. I would love to see the franchise on the go after the fail with the PSP version.

Also, never forget guys, RIDDDDDGEEEE RACCCEEERRRRRR! :D

Yeah, A GT PS Vita would help alleviate the portable console from its never-ending lull in the West.

If GT5 is anything to go by, if they only taking pictures of cars at the moment expect this to be released around 2020

GT6 went under development before GT5 released!
it wont be for the ps4 though, and if it does hit the ps4 it probably will be a later release it will release on ps3 first.

it always amazes me nick how you seem to know EVERYTHING! yet this is obviously shrowded in so much secrecy that a guy who works for a company cant even put on his own facebook pitures of polyphonic coming to his work place to take pictures.
So you reckon a game as big as GT6 wont be released on ps4 but will actually be released on ps3? a console that effectively becomes defunct in a few months time when the ps4 comes out?! absolute bull shit. The fact we know so little about it to me means that this game is still a long way off so why would they waste their time and money on a game that they know will shift millions to release on a last gen console?!!
that is probably the 2nd mst ridiculous thing ive heard you say, after Just Cause 2 is more fun than every other game put together of course. LOL

jesus tap dancing christ you are DUMB!
its got NOTHING to do with knowing everything, its called COMMON SENSE!
GT is such a big series, in fact its $onys BIGGEST franchise!
they spent a metric shit ton of money developing GT5 getting the engine and tech up and running, no way in hell is $ony going to let PD just produce the 1 game for it!
common sense dude, just a little logic.

@foxton dude they release two GT’s every console cycle. why would sony release GT6 on the PS4 with no install base rather than release GT6 on a 70 install base. an as for that whole defunct argument you and i both know that sony always support their systems even after they release a new one. drive club for PS4 and GT6 for ps3.

  9. foxton March 14, 2013 at 5:57 am -

i see your point guys but i just personally dont think its a good idea for them to bring it out on ps3 when ps4 will be well established by the time it comes out. yeah systems are still supported but games, advertising, publicity, marketing is all but non existanet, pushed to the back of shops out the way and i honestly dont think one of if not the flgship sony game would get a release on a last gen console when all they are doing at the moment is pushing ps4 and trying to beat microsoft. its just bad marketing on their behalf

@foxton well to be fair people said the same thing about microsoft releasing halo 4 on the xbox 360 and nintendo releasing zelda skyward sword on the wii. when it comes to big franchises like that your gonna want to make your money back and some. releasing BIG games on new system at launch is bad for business. a example of this: look at god of war 2 that game was supposed to be for PS3 but instead they put it on the PS2 because of the install base. in todays age you can’t take risks as much anymore.

  11. foxton March 14, 2013 at 8:24 am -

true, but again this game appears to be so far off that it just doesnt make sense. For all we know they may of cut their losses years ago and have been preparing it for ps4 for ages. THis is clearly a long way off from release so it wouldnt be launch date game and the ps4 would be relatively well established by the time it was released. I think they would make much more money by putting it on ps4 than ps3, simply because people will buy the ps4 simply because of this game alone, if it was to be released on ps3 people would hold back on buying the ps4 and that is not what sony want.
Guess we will just have to see what happens….

infact the first three words of this article are Granturismo PS4!! so perhaps instaead of debating this with me, maybe you should be correcting Ernices article or atleast his source because they clearly think this is coming to ps4 too!!!
