God of War: Ascension features a trophy dubbed ‘Bros Before Hoes’ that’s earned after Kratos brutally kills Fury, a demonic female enemy. However Sony has been forced to change it because of apparent fan backlash.
Games journalist Adam Sessler was the first to cry foul over the trophy, and soon the whole thing snowballed, forcing Sony to change the trophy’s name to ‘Bros Before Foes’. And in a statement, Sony Santa Monica said it’s working to push out the patch immediately, and that it’s committed to its fans, and their enjoyment of the game.
We have created and will soon push out a patch for God of War: Ascension that alters the title of one of the game Trophies. The text was offensive to some members of our community and impacted their enjoyment of the game. We are endlessly committed to ensuring that our community can fully enjoy the experiences the team has created. As such, we’ve addressed the feedback and amended the Trophy in question.

Rated M for Mature…People who have played god of war know how Kratos and Sony Santa Monica get down. I think the name of the trophy was hilarious and that people need to chill out. All of a sudden people are mad at the game for having Kratos kill some female demon like creatures. WTF!!!! This is what my beloved pasttime of gaming is coming to??? A bunch of fussy babies who cant handle a little FAKE violence against MYTHICAL CREATURES???? COME ON MAN!!! And by the way…IT HAS AND ALL WAYS WILL BE BROS OVER HOES!! Not women but Hoes…big difference. Hell even my wife thinks these people are just fussing to get attention!
@benzo: I couldn’t agree more, this game has a big sign in the front that says sexual content and is for the Mature part of the community. Anyone who participated in wanting to change the trophy were probably just big babies.

its being sexist and degrading to women, thats why people are up in arms about it!

The trophy has nothing to do with sexual content or degrading women. Its about Kratos being saved by Orkos. He saved Kratos instead of letting him die to a Fate. I’m sure all the female-like primordial monster hybrids are very offended by the trophy. If a woman is offended by the trophy, then isnt she a hoe and not a woman?? Too much discussion over an article written by a balding mild aged former G4 employee trying to stay relevant by setting the internet ablaze with BS. BROS BEFORE HOES!!!!!
