I had an all-nighter back when I was like 13 – with my younger brother and two friends who came to spend the weekend. We never slept – went straight into the next day…HARD GAMING!!! We had a SNES then, and Sega Genesis. We had the brand new Donkey Kong!!! AH!! And Killer Instinct. I still believe I’m the best in that game, the latter one!

for me it killzone 3 for me and finished it the same day and i remember saying, ” tht was worth my 60 bucks”

Sadly, or..awesome for me.. I’ve spent many days and hours dedicated to multiple MMO games.. FPS & Rpgs.. Diablo 2, cod, witcher 2, skyrim, many games that just take days of playing.. One day maybe all this video game playing will pay off and il lget some sort of job having to do with beta testing etc..

Gamer life indeed, however im too addicted to games to do anything but play.. even get a job.

cant remember how long it was, but the day i got my ps1 had a few friends over all i remember is waking up at 8 the next night with my parents pissed off with all of us because we hadent gone to sleep and given the thing a break.
good old spyro, back in the day you use to be able to play games for 20 hours stright without getting bored of them!
now even my favorite games bore me after a few hours!

ive lost count of the all nighters i had on Killzone 2. i reckon at my peak when i was off work id play 20 hours a day easy and the other 4 hours would be taken up by drifting in and our of sleep to just pick up my pad again and play some more. And that was 4, 5 days a week!! More recently i played sleeping dogs last week from 2pm to 4am and thart wass the first time id played hardcore like that for a long time. I was determined to get my plat before i went to bed but the last little mop up sections took hours!!!

@Foxton: And that, my friend, is hardcore gaming! I reckon, I’ve spent entire days in Killzone 3. I did that all the time, and mostly in MP, Operations mode. But you’re obsessed with Platinums man!

lol i wouldnt say i was obsessed but ive become a bit of a trophy whore yeah But yeah its MP FPS where you can really get intense gaming hours. On KZ2 i would start in the morning and play with the japanese, then with the rest of the europeans after that, then later on the N. Americans join in and before you know it your playing with the japenese again lol. Clan matches were where it was really at. I have never ever known a clan set up so advanced as in KZ2, we used to have some unbelievable rivalries with a couple of other Clans. If i went into a room and players so my clan tag they knew straight away that you meant business and you were gonna kick ass!! Man i miss those days, gaming will never ever be as good as that ever again. (sigh)

@Foxton: Bro, I don’t think we’ve seen the best of gaming, man. I think, with PS4 (not sure about Xbox because MS hasn’t revealed it), but I think the greatest days of gaming a probably ahead of us.

well yeah gaming will get better, but i meant for me, on a personal note, i will never experience those things from gaming again, My clan members were so close as we would game 10 hours a day together and speak on mics, we had eachothers backs and knew exactly what tactics to do etc. beating rival clans there really was no feeling like it in gaming. Its those experiences im talking about that will never happen again. Im older, wiser, have more responsibilites now, Thats the point i was trying to get at. Think me an El_barone having a BF3 night tonight if you gonna be about??!
