Weekend Quencher 01/04/13 – Welcome To The New Year, Edition

Weekend Quencher 01/04/13 – Welcome To The New Year, Edition

Games Thirst gets back to thirst-quenching in full on Monday. Back to that in a minute.. But let’s first talk about the new year.

Gaming will be amazing in 2013, as the last hurrah of current generation games will go out with a bang. Think God of War: Ascension, Bioshock: Infinite, The Last Of Us, Tomb Raider, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Metro: Last Light, Crysis 3 and Gears of War: Judgement. All massive games, all releasing in the first quarter of 2013.

Alas, pockets are crying!

In the second quarter leading up to the June, 2013, where E3 happens, everything turns to next generation. Sony and Microsoft will be jockeying to become number 1 from the get-go, so expect a lot of advertising from the two giants. Your hearts and minds are at stake!

Games Thirst in 2013

We’ll continue to be awesome and become even better at what we do. Lots in store on the venture front, so stick and stay here. Also, tell your friends about the site! Invite them to come visit and be part of one of gaming’s best communities!

This weekend I’ll be chilling. That is all. What about you guys? Any new years resolution? And how do you feel about what’s about to happen in gaming, more pointedly the next generation. Are you excited?

Have a blessed weekend, GT!

I work this weekend as usual. I have a backlog of movies to watch…Total Recall reboot, Battleship, Chronicle, Devil Inside to name a few. When I do power up the game systems I’ll be playing Dead Island($7 Black Friday pickup) and Lost Odyssey on 360. I am amped to see what the new year brings for gaming in general and GamesThirst!

lazy day today been recovering from yesterdays bush walk, christ i thought that was never going to end!
it was nice venture around really relaxing listening to the birds and waterfalls, but christ i havent been this sore ever!
feel like a thousand bulls have trampled me.
went to go watch jack reacher a few days ago, i was really surprised with it.
its funny how so many movies lately have been the complete polar opposite of what i was expecting.
i really wanted to go watch it because ive been missing that typical hollywood action movie, allot of movies lately have been quite restrained.
spiderman, batman, borne, the franchises that use to be typical mindless action for some reason have suddenly become so restrained.
so here comes a tom cruise movie and i thought thank god, theres no way this will be restrained!
it was surprisingly, and shock of horrors a tom cruise movie actually has a fantastic story to it!
    great humour too.
what the hells going on in hollywood, everythings been turned on its head!
