Valve Working On ‘Source 2′ Engine

Valve boss Gabe Newell has confirmed that his company is working on a brand new Source engine, and since it’s not just a remodeling of the old, some are calling it ‘Source 2′. More next generation evidence, folks.

The question was posed to Newell by the Internet’s /v/ board from 4chan.com, who visited the studio recently. Newell would not answer any Half Life 3 questions, but did concur to be heavily working on a new Source engine. When asked if it was new, and not just a tweaking of the old, Gabe simply said: “Yeah”.
