Black Ops 2 Stats Won’t Be Reset At Launch, Treyarch Confirms

When gamers get a copy of a popular game like Black Ops 2 early, they immediately jump into multiplayer and start raking up stats, trying to stay ahead of the millions that will surely join them once the game has officially launched. Usually developers reset the stats to keep everyone on a level playing field, but Treyarch has chosen to leave good enough alone. In other words if you’ve been playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 early, keep on playing – your stats won’t be reset.

Said Black Ops 2 design director David Vonderhaar on twitter: “FAQ. Will people be reset? A. Unless you are a bad person doing bad things, no.

“Enjoy the game,” he added. “Services will be spotty as we prepare for the official launch,” adding that “it’s a rolling start. Expect bounces the new few days as we bring up extra services.”

Black Ops 2 sees a worldwide release tomorrow. Expect our review to hit the same day, or on Wednesday.

Thanks, MP1st.

Nobody does man, but we have to deal with it. It’s not really a big problem since I heard it’s very rare to meet the people who already prestiged.
