As DSO Gaming reports, a very early review of Dishonored was leaked today by CVG. The site rewarded the game with a 9.5, an almost perfect score, as evidenced below. The review has, since then, been reverted to “private” and is no longer accessible.
CVG noted the game gives you amazingly much freedom, has an interesting steampunk world, and that is easily a GOTY contender, among more. Arkane Studios’ creation was declared to have been beaten by level designer Dan Todd in around 22 hours, and should generally take around 20 hours, depending on your playstyle, use of walkthroughs, etc.
However, a group of gamers have gotten their hands on the game much earlier than expected, and they finished it in under 4 hours. For a title that has no multiplayer component, and is at full price, this is a bit underwhelming and we’re anxious to see how it plays out.
Look out for our Dishonored review soon after its release, at around October 15-20. The game’s release date is on October 12th, for PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
