Blizzard Defends Bobby Kotick, Activision Never Influenced WoW Design

World of Warcraft game director Tom Chilton stood up for Bobby Kotick and the company he runs, Activision in a Reddit ‘Ask Me Anything‘ session, making known that since he’s been at Blizzard, neither Kotick, nor Activision has ever influenced him in anyway.

Said Chilton:

I’ll come out and say it, Activision gets an unfair reputation among our players for this, as does Bobby Kotick. We do demos for the Activision executive team about twice per year (sometimes only once). They ask intelligent questions about why we’re doing what we’re doing, but at no point have any mandates (or even “suggestions”) about the game’s design been issued.

See, Kotick’s been getting bad press all these years for lies. Come on, folks, apologize. What did you say?
