Sony’s confirmed that there’ll be no price cut for PS Vita this year, a stance we believe gamers can appreciate after witnessing the firm’s uber-successful GamesCom 2012 conference.
Said Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida: “People like cheap or free Of course, cost reduction is one area our engineering team is working on. But we just launched the platform earlier this year. It takes time to do so,” he said.
“At a certain point in the future we would like to address the pricing issue for some of the people who are waiting,” he added. “But this year we are trying to add value by creating different types of bundles. We announced we will provide LittleBigPlanet PS Vita bundle pack. That’s affordable for people who are looking for a good deal.”
Sony also announced a Black Ops: Declassified bundle coming this November.

even if there is a price reduction.. they can not confirm it
BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG mistake!
vita NEEDS a price drop this year otherwise it will face even bigger sales problems with mobile platforms and even ouya next year!
its such a shame the vita came so late, it truly does feel like vinyl in the age of disks!
By February 2012, it will get a price cut, I predict. In time for Sly 4′s cross-buy release and promotion, to sell some consoles. For 2012 though, even if I didn’t have one, I’d forgive them and get one. Truly great games are coming out for it until December.
