Assassin’s Creed 3 Is Wii U Launch Title, PC Release Date Confirmed

Ubisoft’s confirmed that Assassin’s Creed 3 will be one of the game’s made available at launch for Nintendo’s upcoming console, Wii U, bolstering the unproven machine’s prospects at launch. The firm also announced a launch date for the PC version of the game.

Assassin’s Creed 3 PC goes on sale almost one month after the console version, releasing in Europe on November 23th, and a few days earlier in the U.S.

The third major in installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise is set during the American Revolution and follows the tale of Connor, a new assassin who becomes “the new voice for justice in the ancient war between the Assassins and Templars”.

meh, it will be on torrent sites days after it releases on ps3 and 360 just like what happened with 2 and brotherhood.
ubisoft is doing everything they can to kill their PC market!
oh well, dont come crying to me when AC3 becomes 2012s most pirated game!

  • linglingjr

If ac3 came out for PC the same time as consoles I would buy it, but not a month after it comes out on consoles! I agree with nick its sad they don’t care about us.

  • Christos Chatzisavvas

I don’t see how it’s only Ubisoft’s fault here, Ubisoft being an example. Crytek brought Crysis 2 to everyone on the same time, but it was still the most pirated game of the year. The Witcher franchise sold around 4 million so far I think, but the developers said it’s still less than how much it’s been pirated. Where I live, PC games are 20€ or lower than the console counterparts, but still, piracy is rampant and all I have is PC players cursing the developers for not giving them too much attention. Excuse me guys, but when AC3 sells 5 million copies on the PS3 or the X360, and sells 500.000 on the PC, I can completely see from Ubisoft’s, and any other developer who’s in the same vein, point of view.

  • nick

dude, of course its selling allot lower than the console versions!
1 theres a much lower saturation rate, and 2 ubisofts PC games are shit!
if you could buy a ford for 500000 dollars and a ferrari for 500000 dollars which would you choose?
ubisofts games on PC are crappy console ports, not to mention their useless always on DRM which is CONSTANTLY breaking!
i remember when brotherhood came out their servers broke down so EVERYONE who bought the game could not play it!
so no shit sherlock the sales are lower.
maybe, just maybe, if ubisoft actually pulled their finger out and gave the PC the attention it deserves the sales would be different!
and please dont give me this piracy bull shit!
you do realise consoles have just as much piracy issues if not more right?
the 360 ATM has NO piracy protection, i could go buy a Xkey and pirate any game i wanted!
    PC its allot harder!
360 you have unreleased games on the net, if i wanted to i could go download retail versions of darksiders 2 and sleeping dogs right now.
can you do that for the PC versions?
hell, theres a developers version of borderlands 2 on the 360 out in the wild!
the games not due out for another 6 weeks!
as for the ps3 there was a custom FW proof of concept released today, so in a few weeks time it looks like CFW is going to be back like it was late last year with 3.55!
so dont give me the pathetic piracy is why developers dont give a shit about the PC BS!
because if it was, then they would not be releasing games on consoles either!
piracy is a fact of the industry like it or not no matter where you go its going to be a issue!

  • Christos Chatzisavvas

PC piracy is harder than consoles? Copying and pasting a *crack*.exe or a couple more files, sometimes not even that, is indeed a lot harder.

Ah well, I don’t like the way you talk, too much unneeded rage, profanity and disrespect, so I’ll respectfully walk out of this conversation.

  • narwall14

well christos you can pirate xbox games too

  • Christos Chatzisavvas

Excuse me people, but I never said you can’t. You can pirate everything from PSX to PS3 and Xbox to Xbox 360, Wii and everything else. But you need to tinker with the hardware occasionally, especially on the older consoles, whereas on the PC, just download it, install and play. We all know where to find pirated games, packed with the cracks. I never said you can’t do the same on the consoles, you can look at my comments.

  • Ghost250

@Christos the reason why Crysis 2 was the most pirated game is because its straight trash. i along with the majority of the people that bought it have collectively agreed that the game just flat out sucks. now as word of mouth follows it only makes sense that it would be pirated. plus to top it off crytek practically turned their back on the PC community when they decided to go multiplat and give out a sequel thats not even as good as the predecessor.

  • Christos Chatzisavvas

They admitted that they were testing the CryEngine’s power on consoles, and I’m confident Crysis 3 will be much greater on consoles, but played best on the PC. You know what game “makes sense” for me to pirate? Skyrim. It’s a broken, glitchy mess on the PS3 still. Crysis 2, it just wasn’t as good as the previous game. For me, if I absolutely HAD to pirate one of these, I’d go with the former. And I don’t understand why going multi-platform is “turning their back on the PC players”; why do those players feel so entitled, like they own the developer, and will just pirate their games if they go multiplatform? That’s foolish, if you ask me. But that’s something called an opinion, something some people can’t seem to grasp (not implying anything for you or anyone here).

  • narwall14

Christo I was just saying that it’s not just pc games.Xbox and pc are both the most pirated, xbox is just not as open to the matter as pc is.Yes i have pirated games only to see if i can run it and to see if i like it.I don’t have the money like every one else in the world to buy every game i want just to find out it is garbage.

  • foxton

Christos you’ll realise that about nick. He is so full of it, just do what your doing mate and leave him to it. He thinks he knows everything and will not accept anyones opinion about anything, ever!
I gave up trying to make him see sense months ago :)

  • nick

dude, if your going to talk at least make sure you know what your talking about!
its not as simple as download crack, install in the right spot and play.
most of the time they end up requiring VPNs or whatever else to install.
not to mention games like skyrim and batman AA have antipiracy mesures and detection built into them.
if you pirate skyrim the game can tell and every time you use the fast travel system the game crashes.
same with batman arkham asylum the game can tell if its pirated and batmans cape wont open.
what types of these features do ps3 and 360 games have?
    thats what i thought!

its a HELL of allot easier to pirate 360 or ps3 games than it is PC!
if anything ps3 is the easiest, just install multiman install a game onto the HDD and multiman will patch the game for you, you dont even need to look on the net for the file and find a tutorial where to install it!
stuff it im done, from now on im not going to bother explaining things because as usual it goes in one ear and out the other.
for once the term thick as a mule would be understatement of the century!

  • Christos Chatzisavvas

Because obviously only 2012 games exist, and every single one has anti-piracy measures that haven’t been cracked. Yeah. Once again, I’d ask you to watch your attitude, please. Take a look at these numbers: , take a chill pill, and learn to accept other opinions which are based on facts, and not biased rants. I’m out of this, don’t want to drag it any longer and give off a bad image I don’t have.
