Report – Battlefield 4 Headed To Wii U

DICE Canada is working on a Wii U version of Battlefield 4, according to an online report. The same report claims it will be a straight port.

Apparently, there was a Wii U version of Battlefield 3 under development at EA Canada, but because of a “feud regarding Origin’s integration on the Wii U”, it was subsequently cancelled.

The disagreement led to DICE’s Wii U team being merged with the Battlefield 4 team, which is “now working on the Battlefield 4 Wii U version concurrently with other editions”.

The Wii U Daily source also says it will be a “straight port” with touchscreen controls. Similar touchscreen controls will also be implemented on Xbox 360, using Microsoft’s new SmartGlass technology.

Battlefield 4 was announced last month after being leaked through EA’s online service, Origin. A multiplayer beta will be ready next fall before the game goes on sale on current and next generation platforms.

Thanks, Videogamer.

It is so sad how no one cares about the vita like they do this piece of garbage.

I only got my Vita today, and I wish I saved for it earlier. Truth is, not much is know about the WiiU, can’t compare, but what I know is that Vita’s sales and popularity certainly don’t reflect its quality. It’s like a tablet gone gaming console, the best hybrid of the two you can find.

I think I know why EA showed BF4 so soon they want to make the game for the WiiU like you guys said and make more money. No wonder they are the worst company in US.
