Weekend Quencher 07/27/12 – The Best Is Yet To Come, Edition

Metal Gear - Best Is Yet To Come

Dare I say it. Dare I say that we, as human beings, should always be on a continuous path of growth. Nature itself gives us the example of incessant progression. A seed is planted into the ground and overtime, if watered properly, it will blossom, bringing joy to everything that’s in its vicinity.

So too, as intelligent people, we should excel at what we do. Whether it’s working on a job, being a good husband or wife, or playing sports and videogames, one should always get better at what he/she does.

For us here at Games Thirst, it’s striving to offer the community the best of gaming, and that’s why the Games Thirst brand itself is only in its infancy stages. We have so much in store for you, and we’d like to thank you for staying with us through it all, experiencing the highs, lows and in-between – but here’s our promise to you: the best is yet to come.

This weekend, I’ll be playing a myriad of games, probably going back to Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots for trophy and good ole times sake!

What are you folks up to? Share it and have a blessed weekend!

still thinking back on the dark night rises ending, man that was such a mind bender!
its such a shame they did not do a movie based game on it, could of been freaking amazing!
so many things they could of done with it.
actually come to think of it, WB own the MK studio now so how cool would it be to see ed boon and the team working on a batman game!
i really want to see another studios take on the series, yea rocksteady have risen the franchise really but im itching to see what a different developer would do with it.

really should have a look at this!
http://www.gamereactor.eu/articles/38611/Carmack's [VR] Vision of the Future/
this is exactly what pisses me off so much about the world today.
we have the technology to do SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much, but we dont.
as john said we have the capability and technology to finally bring virtual reality to life but we wont use it.
were happy with sitting with whatever we have, no one wants to push the boundaries of whats really possible!
we have a crane and instead of using it to move the world, were using it to lift a leaf!
we have the technology to do oh so much, but were sitting on it.
so sad, the industry has been dreaming of VR ever since FPS came out!
and now that we finally have the technology to do it were sitting on it.
    devolution of the human race!

About the Carmack link, that tech is awesome. Shame it’ll never be implemented on a mass scale.

    it will be eventually.
he says his off the project for now, but hopefully the guy who actually created the glasses will continue on with it.
and apparently he had a few $ony R&D guys look at it and apparently there also interested in it.
my hopes are they get the guys who did the HMZ-T1 to pool there efforts and money behind it and bring it to mass market!
google are working on a similar system but looks totally different, its essentially a giant sphere which rests on your shoulders.
there are a few companies out there pushing it so hopefully in 5 years time VR will FINALLY be a reality!

as for batman i really enjoyed it, but i still think the last one was better.
the last one had so much action and a really good story, where this had half half.
the action was smaller and fewer between, and the story was a bit confusing and hard to follow.
i hope they do another one soon, and next time bring back the action that has always made batman movies so awesome!
