Quenchables: Nintendo’s “Bored” With Those Calling For It To Stop Making Hardware

“Even when we were going to launch the Wii system, there were a lot of voice saying ‘Nintendo should stop making hardware.’”The reasoning behind that was Nintendo would not have any chance against Microsoft and Sony. The fact of the matter was: I did not think Nintendo should compete against these companies with the same message and same entertainment options for people.” – Nintendo president Satoru Iwata speaking to Gamasutra.

sorry iwata, but it is the world that is “bored” with nintendo!
yous use to be the innovator of the industry!
every time a new system came out you introduced something new and cool, something you could call your own!
wii had motion controls something NO system offered at the time!
3Ds has a 3D glasses free screen something NO system offered at the time!
    wiiu has what?
a screen in the controller giving you 2 screens to play your games on?
sorry, but xbox smartglass does pretty much the same thing!
so what will nintys gimmick be this gen?
wii sailed through simply because it captured the soccer mom audience because of its motion peripherals.
without your were unique look at this draw, you have nothing!
$ony gets through by being cutting edge in technology and games.
M$ gets through by bringing everything to the system, be it games, music, movies, and offering a superior online experience.
ninty, well, they use to offer something new we had never seen before!
    key word being USE TO!
sad to see THE creator of the home console, THE creator of the industry, has stopped being the leader and gone to the follower.

I, for one, am amply bored with Nintendo. It used to be my favorite games company once upon a time! But neglected me and when after the casuals with Wii. Now they’ve lost all my love!
