Although EA Labels president Frank Gibeau told GameInformer Magazine that his company would love to be part of a Kingdoms of Amalur sequel, the site’s sources told it that EA’s telling a lie, as the publisher was given the opportunity to do just that but turned the offer down.
“I think it’s unfortunate how everything worked out [for 38 Studios],” Gibeau said in the GI Magazine interview. “At the end of the day we saw a lot of creativity and vision in the team that Curt [Schilling] put together. We thought the game was terrific. It reviewed well.”
But the reality is EA turned down the studio. In fact “[Electronic Arts] had first right of refusal and passed back in March,” said GI’s sources.
Sad truth.

Angry this makes me!!!
benzo calm down you must lol
just another reason why EA was voted worst company!
not only do they treat their fans like shit, they out right lie to them.
thanks EA!
shouldnt be at all surprised at them. EA is pretty much THE scumbag company of video games. honestly… they should have stuck with sports and left real video games to the professionals.
