Nintendo Responds To Microsoft’s Claim That ‘Wii U Is Effectively A 360′

Last week Microsoft claimed that Wii U was essentially an Xbox 360. Nintendo, in its corner, didn’t like the lingo and it’s responded with fighting words, below the break.

“The Wii U Pro Controller is an enhanced version of the Classic Controller Pro that has been designed specially to work with the Wii U console. It simply offers another way to play and more options for developers use. We do not compare ourselves to the other consoles,” the firm said.

The like the last line best: “We do not compare ourselves to the other consoles.”

Thanks, ThatShortGuy.

Nick, please – Microsoft stole from Nintendo’s GameCube controller anyway. Look at the two things… In fact they all borrowed ideas from Nintendo.

of course they did, they created the home console!
    its kinda hard not to!
just because M$ copied ninty does not mean that ninty has never copied anyone!
come on, you cant say that the wiiU pro controller looking the way it does is just a coincidence!

I really don’t understand people, if developers make a controller that is similar to another console people will say they are copy-cats, but if the make a new crazy way because they don’t want to copy another console people will say it doesn’t feel right and another controller is better. Arghh this generation just likes to complain.
