Resistance Franchise Dead?

After three games on PS3, one on PSP and the latest on PS Vita, it would seem as if the Resistance franchise, first forged at Insomniac Games is now dead.

Although Sony didn’t say outright that the fight against the Chimera was over, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe online producer Daniel Brooke gave a strong hint the franchise had met its end.

“The Resistance franchise has been exciting to work on, but as for the future, we have no definitive plans,” Brooke told Official PlayStation Magazine UK.

In other words after two consecutive failed efforts in Resistance 3 and Resistance: Burning Skies, Sony’s done with the brand…

…At least for now.

Resistance 3 was pretty good…Burning Skies….not so much. I’m not against taking a break from the franchise for a while.

one of the best freshest most fun IPs of the generation has been killed off so quickly!
yet the stale boring crap groans on and on.
this industry is getting more and more depressing every day!
