Since Nintendo hasn’t made known the inner prowess of its upcoming console Wii U, developers have taken it upon themselves to guess the console’s power. Many have said it’s a tad more powerful than current-gen consoles, however Crysis developer Crytek believes Wii U is at minimum as powerful as Xbox 360.
“My opinion of the Wii U is very high,” Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli told CVG. “It’s just that we didn’t have a business case unfortunately that justifies us making a game for it.
It doesn’t mean that CryEngine 3 doesn’t run on Wii U – it actually runs beautifully. In fact, there actually is a game in development from a respected developer that we will be announcing. I’ve seen the game running and it looks really great.”
On the machine’s power, Yerli added: “From my perspective I do not understand the public’s concerns that the Wii U is weaker than PS3 and 360. That I cannot see. From my perspective the Wii U is minimum as powerful as Xbox 360.”

well it is just like a remote play pad it does not have a processor so do expect much
Mr. Gilbert,
The title of this article is very misleading. As quoted in your article, Yerli believes the Wii U is “minimum as powerful as Xbox 360″. Your title indicates that the two consoles share similar performance, yet his opinion says otherwise.
I concur. Amended.
exactly what we needed to hear.
however i wont be believing them till they actually come out and show it!
just really suspicious ninty has been so secretive and very careful what they show on it.
why all the secrecy?
just makes you think there trying to hide something.
Hopefully we’ll see more multiplatform games on the console.
