Sucker Punch Confirms New Game

Not to be left out of the E3 2012 craze, Sucker Punch has confirmed that it’s indeed hard at work on its new game, although the developer steered clear of revealing the new title.

“Yes, we are working very hard on our next project. No, we have nothing to announce at this time. However, inFAMOUS 2 is free on PS Plus!.” said Sucker Punch through twitter.

As of May 26th, 2012, inFamous 2 sold 1.20 million units, and although it’s not a bad number, it’s certainly not a stellar showing. Is Sucker Punch working on a new IP? Is it inFamous 3? Questions yet to be answered, but with the dawn of new consoles coming in 2013, expect many rumors, leaks and announcements in the coming months.

    @benzo: Dude thanks! Now I now that the Vita still has life in it! I thought that they forgot about the Vita at E3 with only AC3 Liberation and BO2 Declassified.
    Now I have more Incentive to buy the Vita with those four new apps that are coming out for the Vita!

    im disappointed they did not show it off at E3!
    im really hoping its a new IP.
    id love to see a new infamous game but considering how they ended the last one off, id be a little difficult and cheesy.
    id rather see them do another open world super hero game.
    i hope its exactly that though, it has to be a super hero open world game!
    we dont get many of those at all, and no one does them better than SP!
    id be cool to see them do a prototype knock off.
    make you the ultimate bad a$$!
    one game out there that had so much potential but really never managed to reach it.
    if theres one developer out there that could really bring it to fruition its SP!

    @benzo the only time you will ever see a american developer made game is on the the show floor, never on the conference floor. Sucker Punch will never reveal a game at TGS. just the facts because for one
    they are not a japanese developer in which TGS is meant for, two their core audience is not japanese gamers so there would be no point. three they don’t make japanese games let alone japanese influenced games. the only games from sony you’ll probably see at TGS is stuff like Soul Sacrifice, The Last Guardian, Dark Cloud etc.
