The Last Guardian Is Not Dead, Says Sony, “It Will Be” Released

Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida has reassured gamers that The Last Guardian is still under development, although it’ll be a bit longer before it can be shown.

“Yeah, yeah,” Yoshida told GiantBomb. “We have the team working hard, and still it’s not the right time to give people an update.”

The game hit a pothole when Team Ico’s creative boss, Fumito Ueda, left Sony in December 2011, and fans have been worried about the game, especially because there’s been no updates since that time.

Yoshida promised the game will eventually be released.

“It has to!” he laughed. “It will be.”
