Sony: No Vita Price Cut

vita_

Sony Worldwide Studios chief Shuhei Yoshida has told Eurogamer he believes it’s too early to cut the price of struggling PS Vita.

When asked if it was too early to cut the console’s price, Yoshida replied: “Oh, absolutely.”

He added: “From the value for money standpoint, we think we have a good price for what the system is. And our priority is to achieve the potential through more games and services.

Of course people who are looking to buy are also talking about the price of PS Vita, especially when they have to buy a memory card as well. That’s something we have to spend time to cost reduce and address in the future. But now, our laser focus is to increase the content and to realise the potential of the system.”

I think it is too early for a price cut. Lets see some bundles including game and memory first. If those dont move during holiday season, then a price cut for the new year. Lets give the Vita some time to release more games and get through its first Christmas before a price cut.

There is no way that Sony will achieve the Sales Goal they have set for the Vita in 2012 with it’s current price.

But as mentioned above it’s too early to cut the prices, i say just give it time & more must have game such as AC, COD & Gravity Daze. It’ll definitely pik up steam.

What if they made a limited bundle? Listen to me guys. What if the made a custom PS Vita (themed a Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 Declassified) (Wi-Fi only) with a 16 GB card, 20$ PSN Card, With COD BO 2 Declassified, and AC3 Liberation. For only 275$? How’s that?

yeah the system is TOTALLY worth the same amount as a 320GB ps3, a HDMI cable, bluray remote, 2nd DS3 controller and both uncharted 3 and GOW3!
    totally!

I agree with nick, If i am going to (and I will) buy the PS Vita plus all the items I want for it. It would cost exactly what he said up there.

not the items for it, JUST the WIFI vita itself no memory card, no games, no cases, just the WIFI vita itself costs the same here as a 320GB ps3, HDMI cable, bluray remote, 2nd DS3 controller and EB updated it today to 6 games of your choice!

O.O I have no idea how much a PS3 costs over in your place. But a PS Vita equals to a PS3 over here where I live with nothing at all.
