Sony’s looking to sell about 10 million PS Vitas by March of next year, according to SCE president and group CEO Andrew House.
“The end-of-year holiday season is extremely important for handheld game consoles,” House told Reuters Japan. “To that end, we’ve got showcase titles such as Call of Duty and Assassin’s Creed coming out as well as our own first-party software.”
He added: “We also want to strengthen the Vita’s online services, so we’ll be adding YouTube and Hulu apps. We want to build up those two pillars: games and online.”
Vita hasn’t been performing well compared to 3DS and even PSP in Japan, however with new games releasing soon, and a white model incoming for that region, Sony is hoping for a sales boost.
As for the west, Black Ops II: Declassified and Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation will be released for the portable console, and they’re just two of the many games Sony will release this Christmas in hopes to jolt sales in the U.S. and Europe.
Vita’s only managed about 2 million units since its launch last December.
Thanks, Wired.

They are putting too much faith in COD Vita & Assassins Creed Vita, and rightly so. These 2 games are certainly Console Seller, but will they sell 8 Million Vita’s i doubt it.
