Infinity Ward Received $493 Million In Bonuses Since 2003, Court Documents Reveal

While former Infinity Ward bosses Jason West and Vince Zampella are crying foul, alleging that they were treated unfairly by Activision and therefore have a right to receive $1 billion on compensation, newly released court documents paint an entirely contrary picture, revealing that Infinity Ward employees have received half a billion dollars in bonuses since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 released back in 2003.

But the payouts go beyond bonuses for games Infinity Ward produced, as the documents show the firm received $100 million in “bonus pool payments” thanks to Call of Duty: Black Ops. Amazing.

Activision also made known that the $147.46 million bonus pool paid to Infinity Ward for Modern Warfare 2 (the title most in question concerning West and Zampella) includes the $42 million “recently paid to a group of former Infinity Ward employees” who decided to quit when West and Zampella were fired for “insubordination.
