The talk has been, as of recent, whether Naughty Dog’s new The Last Of Us latest trailer featured in-game footage or was it simply pre-rendered cinematic. Gamers are asking this question because the action/horror title looks too good to be true, however they wonder no longer, as Naughty Dog’s answered the question.
When a fan was convinced that what he saw was simply a pretty cutscene, which lead him to ask for some gameplay footage, Community Strategist at Naughty Dog Eric Monacelli replied in the comments section of the US PS Blog:
“It’s all in-game footage.”
Monacelli also reaffirmed that there would be some form of multiplayer in the game when he said: “We have not announced any plans about online multiplayer but there will be some kind of multiplayer aspect to the game.”
I still can’t believe this is in-game footage. Simply amazing.
A release date hasn’t been mentioned.

im actually glad ND & Sony aren’t just putting out crap loads of trailers like they did with Uncharted 3. one thing i hated is that all saw those major key parts in the trailers for uncharted 3 and when it came time to play the game it was less fulfilling experience playing U3 than U2 which was amazing.
huh?
both co founders evan and cristophe at the VGAs said that there would be no MP for this?
I remember they said something about multiplayer, yes.
Here’s a link you commented on: http://www.gamesthirst.com/2012/02/06/the-last-of-us-to-include-multiplayer-no-cliffhangers/
dam, i was hoping it would be a SP only experience!
should of known it was too good to be true!
developers these days and their obsession wit MP, its driving me INSANE!
