Miyamoto: PS Vita Is A Strong Product

vitaa

One of the main men at Nintendo has told Edge that Sony’s PS Vita is actually a very strong product, however he thinks Sony isn’t doing a good job on the software side.

“I think I really can’t say,” Miyamoto first said when asked the question. He would however, offer his opinion.

“It’s obviously a very hi-spec machine and you can do lots of things with it, but I don’t really see the combination of software and hardware that really makes a very strong product,” said Miyamoto. “But I can’t really say”

“I’m not looking at Vita as happy that it’s not selling well, or scared that it would sell well – I’m not looking at Vita that way,” he concluded.

PS Vita has many big-name titles coming in the near future, including Resistance: Burning Skies, Call of Duty and some other noteworthy titles. Mortal Kombat released just last week on the console.

I love my Vita. Miyamoto is a class act all the way. Too few of this sort in the industry. Too damn few….

I want to ask you guys, do you think the PS Vita is worth the price tag? Or do you think it is too expensive with the propitiatory memory card? Because at E3 when I saw the price of the Wi-Fi model (which I want to buy) I was amazed. Then came the memory cards, games, accessories. Now I suppose that Sony should have at least considered a price drop. What do you think about a price drop?

In my opinion I don’t believe that the Vita is worth the price tag simply because of its current game library. I would have no qualms buying one though if it was $100 dollars less, especially if they already had Bioshock Vita, ZoE collection, and MGS collection already out. (I’m still hoping for a Kingdom Hearts collection).

I purchased the vita and I have not regretted it. I use it for much more than gaming. I had the money to buy it though. If you do not have the money right now, I would save up for a while and wait for the games to start releasing. There are some great games out for it now and some good games coming, but I would not be in a big hurry to get it, if you do not have the money right now.

exactly the biggest problem they have with the vita.
looking from release to the end of the year, a span of 8 months what is $ony releasing for it?
March had unit 13, april had jack, May had MK and resistance, June has gravity rush, and thats all we know about.
only other 3 games that should be out this year are bioshock which got put on hold so i seriously doubt will be out this year, COD which never mentioned a year let alone a date, and killzone which was the same as COD.
not exactly a strong line up for a products first year!
talk about coming out of the gate at granny speed!
at this rate they will be out the door in say, ohhh just another 1000 years!

I believe Vita is a good buy, but it needs more games. Some big ones are incoming, though.

    slowly……..
only game worth buying a vita ATM is uncharted golden abyss, by far the best in the series!
burning skies looks pretty meh, gravity daze was ok but no where near as good as i was expecting, and the rest, well, we dont even know when they will be out!
as far as we know AC, bioshock and COD may be just ports of their console versions this year.
if that happens then there is not a single reason to buy a vita this year!

    Burning Skies this month!
