And it’s because Santa Monica has never in the past let us down.
That’s what David Jaffe, the guy who created God of War told IGN, adding that from what he said, he thinks “it looks cool. It looks like another great, impeccably executed Sony Santa Monica game.”
As for the multiplayer portion, Jaffe believes it’ll be well executed, and nothing he saw caused him to doubt.
“Sony Santa Monica, and certainly that team, really hasn’t done anything ever to let people down as game developers,” he said.
“If it turns out to be the case that the single player is watered down because of it, then I think they have some justification. But I don’t see any evidence of that, and I don’t see evidence of that based on the team they are.”
Jaffe once thought of adding multiplayer to God of War, however instead of a multiplayer mode, he was thinking of adding co-op. That, as you’ll find out soon, was a “stupid idea”.
“There were moments where I was being a total idiot, and it was a Red Sonja version of Kratos,” he said. “It was kind of like a hyper-violent, screwball comedy where they hated each other but they had to work together – which is totally stupid.”
God of War: Ascension will release next March exclusively on PS3.
