We’ll See The Human Side Of Kratos In Ascension, Learn More About His Family

God of War: Ascension will delve more into Kratos’ human side, giving the hardened god a more realistic personality as the prequel will play into his early years as a warrior compared to when he became a God.

We’ll learn more about his family, including his wife and daughter. The game will also show Kratos’ “ambition, heart and soul.” Pappy said he’s being rebuilt from the ground up, including his wraps, skirts, boots, etc. The Blades Of Chaos will return, and lastly, as Kratos goes along his mission in Ascension, he’ll be “worn down”.

    it was funny there, he started talking about this would take place before the events of GOW1 then interrupted himself and said this is a prequel to the series.
    oops, did someone just out something they were not suppose too?
    im really intrigued to see where this takes place, i really hope it will have flashback levels of kratos in his childhood going through the tests and stations to become a spartan warrior.
    kinda like what uncharted 3 did with drake.

    True, Sony did make a lot of mistakes this gen, but they got exclusives right. 1up for that.

    im disappointed i thought it would take place before kratos becomes the ghost of sparta.
    well if you watch the interview one of the questions was exactly that and todd said we will see kratos in his natural skin colour but only briefly so that to me means its going to be in cut scenes.
    i think there going to do the flashback scenes.
    have this set just as the event happens he gets covered in ash and stuck in the titan prison and ascension will be the story of how he got out and how he lead himself up to the events of the original GOW killing ares.
