Do you like driving? Do you love the way it feels when you’re doing 70 MPH on the freeway? Yes, you do. But your speed’s rubbish compared to the adrenaline rushing through the hearts of countless Call of Duty fans at the moment, and even more so Treyarch, the developer behind Black Ops 2, as the firm gets ready to unveil the next big thing in gaming in mere hours: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is coming.
Activision and Treyarch have been dropping hints all around gaming’s web for a few weeks now, and finally the moment of truth has arrived. Black Ops 2 will ostensibly happen in the near future, 10-15 years from now, and will feature a remote controlled deadly aircraft called the Quadrotor.
It’s all been pieced together, with the climax coming in 30hrs, on TNT during the NBA.
Are you ready for the next Call of Duty?

I can’t wait for this game to be announced, I’m excited to see what they have in store for us
lame
Don’t judge a book by its cover
I am actually really looking forward to what happens with Black Ops 2 this year, as I enjoyed that game a whole lot. I think Black Ops is actually one of the best COD games out there, and I believe this one will do just as good at retail as the first, even better.
not by its cover, but by the contents of the previous in the series.
story wise im interested to see what they do with it, but everything else is going to be, well, what the rest of the series has been!
massive repeats with as little changed and advanced as possible!
as i said the other day antivision are the douche of the video games industry!
not only selling out their franchise, giving the finger to their loyal fans, but also holding back the evolution of the industry!
The evolution will come next gen, Nick. What’s the sense of building a new engine that’s not fully compatible with the eighth generation. I believe the next Call of Duty we see after Black Ops will have loads of changes, better visuals and much more…. Give them a chance to innovate again. Because I fully believe they know what’s the talk around gaming’s web.
1st who said anything about a new engine?
you dont need a new engine to change up the gameplay, add in a decent story, change the game from SUB HD to 720P, muddy poor AA, and bug issues.
not to mention short underwhelming campaigns.
2 crysis 2, BF3, dead space, mirrors edge, the witcher 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R, metro 2033, and pretty much every exclusive out there says hi.
just because your nearing the end of this life cycle does not mean you cant release new engines.
its actually a better time to do so that way you have a better idea of what will be available and implement needed features, but also scale it so it runs on lower current platforms.
just like what crytek, 4A games, and DICE did with crysis 2, metro 2033, and battlefield 3.
For all what you listed, however, you do need to turn things down to 30fps….And for Call of Duty games, that’s just not an option.
