EA Making Good On Its Battlefield 1943 Voucher Promise To PS3 Owners

Remember the scuffle gamers had with EA over its promise to give PS3 owners a voucher to download Battlefield 1943 free of charge? Yeah, they fixed it immediately after getting sued, and now, for those who haven’t downloaded the game, EA’s sending out instructions on how to do so, because come June 10th, 2012, it’ll be no more. Instructions below.

In an email to gamers, EA included the instructions on how to download the title:

1) Activate your Battlefield 3 Online Pass for the PlayStation 3 using the voucher included in the game (see step #5 for additional instructions).

2) Visit and log in with your Origin ID and password. Click here if you need help retrieving your account information.

3) Select your territory. Note that vouchers do not work across regions.

4) You will then receive a PlayStation 3 voucher for Battlefield 1943.

5) Input your voucher into the PlayStation®Network store. Instructions below.

a. From the XMB (cross-media bar) of the PlayStation 3 connected to a network, choose [account management] under the [PlayStation Network].

b. From the menu, select redeem codes.

c. Enter voucher and select continue.

d. Download Battlefield 1943.

Good, i got this game free with (Bad Company 2: Ultimate Edition), but never really got into it.

I tried over & over again to get the hand of it, but the contest Disconnecting problems kept putting me off the game.

pretty sad that you have to sue a company just to get what legally yours!
what happened to the good old days of customer service?
what ever happened to the customers always right?

Those good ole days are gone…..

    dam straight!
another prime example the new speakers i got.
i went to JB on wednesday and they had a 20% off sale so i asked when does it end?
they told me it ends on the 1st of may.
so i went in on friday and it was ended.
so i asked if they could still give me the 20% since he told me it finished on tuesday not thursday and they said nope.
so i said ok myer have these for 1200 can you beat them.
he went away for a half hour then came back and said 1190 is the absolute lowest we can go.
ok i said, but ill have to leave it till tomorrow i have to go home make sure they will fit.
can i come in tomorrow and buy them at that price?
sure he said ill make a reference of it so it will be fine.
tomorrow i come in and they tell me sorry we cant give it to you at that price.
i said to them no you offered me that price, i took the day off work today so i could come in and pick them up, if you could not sell them for that price you should not of told me it!
i said ive been a loyal customer of JB for years now ive bought every electrical device i own from yous!
my laptop i bought from yous only 3 months ago, and just over a year ago i bought my TV from yous, this is how you treat your loyal returning customers?
fine ill go to myer in parramatta and buy it from them, im really disappointed i certainly wont be buying anything from JB ever again!
then i turned around and walked out, just before i left the store he said wait how about i give it to you for 1250.
since that would be the same id get it from myer because they had to order them in and deliver them i said ok.
so i ended up getting them from jb 1250 delivered arrived this morning.
pretty pathetic when you have to walk out on a sale just to get a shop to give you the price you were promised!

really pissed off though, if he told me the sale was ending on thursday instead of lying to me i would of got them for 800 instead!
50 bucks says he lied to me deliberately to get the extra cash out of me.
