As long as you’re alive you’ll remember PS3 hacker George Hotz, aka Geohot. The guy went underground in recent times, and has been reportedly been employed at Facebook, but on his way to the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, the youngster was arrested for smoking pot, weed, marijuana or whatever it’s called in your area.
See, in L.A., Hotz has a licence to smoke the controlled substance, but L.A. isn’t Texas – bail was set at $1,500.
Thanks, VG247, Above The Law.

wow…. is this finally the beginning of the hacking community.. first anonymous head snitches n members are caught now this geohot guy is caught and thrown in jail. I smell a high tech prison break in the works….
pretty happy about this.. lol
i previously meant to say beginning of the end of the hacking community…
in other news..my original $600 ps3 just got the blinking red light.. after all these years.
My plan is to have sony fix it then wait for a price drop in june(fingers crossed)
If you didn’t break the QC seal you can get it replaced with a brand new one by Sony for $150. I did this a few years ago when I got the YLOD
i did… the charge is now $128.66.. so i requested them to send me the box
