Crytek will announce “a brand new” project next month, one the developer reckons will be “absolutely fantastic”.
That’s according to Crytek general manager of games Nick Button-Brown who shared the news with CVG.
“There are so many things I can’t talk about,” Button-Brown said. “A big part of our business is big budget console and PC games. We are doing all these other things, but they’re on top of that and we’re doing them because they’re interesting.
We still want to deliver the highest quality that we can, wherever we go, You know about Homefront, you know about Ryse. We are working on another project… [laughs] all three of which are looking really good.”
Button-Brown continued, this time talking up the game’s visuals, confirming it’s the best-looking game they’ve ever developed.
“The other project looks absolutely fantastic – I mean, genuinely the best of that kind of project we’ve ever done.
It looks spectacular, the team are doing really, really well and it’s just really nice to see the team really enthusiastic about what they’re doing. They’re really happy.
We’re going to carry on doing those games. We like doing mobile games, we like doing free-to-play, but we also like blowing things up in a visually stunning style.”
I’m going with Crysis 3, unless Crytek’s been laboring away on a new IP, which would be, in their words, “fantastic”.

i never play the first second or third they all suck

yeah the game play is kinda lame IMO too the first is nice to benchmark with and just to say “damn look at what my pc can do” lol

i loved crysis 2 but its just not crysis if you cant sneak up your enemies under a waterfall!
