For those of you who had the idea of sharing the new Modern Warfare 3 Maps with all of your friends, it looks like Activision has put a stop to it. The first Modern Warfare 3 maps released via Call of Duty Elite – Liberation and Piazza – are reported to be locked to the Xbox LIVE account tied to Elite, despite terms of the download stating this shouldn’t be the case.
Whilst the download terms for the map downloads – and all other LIVE DLC – states that “access to this item will also be granted to all users on this first console,” this conflicts with A Call of Duty: Elite premium subscription which is tied to a single Xbox LIVE account.
The maps can be played split-screen, however.
