Finally, DICE can say that it’s truly found a fix for the voice chat problem Battlefield 3 suffers on PS3, and has promised that a patch will be deployed soon.
“We have a fix on its way for the VOIP [voice over internet protocol] issue that some Battlefield 3 players have experienced on PS3,” confirmed DICE Junior Product Manager Tommy Rydling on the Battlefield 3 Battlelog forum earlier today.
Rydling also said that fans should expect a patch to be deployed that will curb the problem “soon”, adding they should stay tuned for an exact time of release.
We’ve covered this story extensively, even when the voice chat problem was thought be a PS3 issue. It’s good to know that DICE has finally found a fix for the problem. One we hope is permanent.
