On the US PS Blog, Sony’s announced that PSN will see an outage in order to undergo routine maintenance on January 19th, which is today.
The downtime will last from 8am until 9pm PST.
During the maintenance period, these services will be inaccessible:
– PlayStation Store on PS3, PSP, and Media Go.
– PlayStation Network Account Management.
– PlayStation Network Account Registration.
– PlayStation Home
– Music Unlimited & Video Unlimited services
Also, you won’t be able to sign into PSN through us.playstation.com.
As suspected, if you’re already signed in and wish to continue gaming, Sony advises that you stay signed in so your gaming sessions won’t be interrupted. If you venture to sign out, you’ll black out like the rest of the world until 9pm tonight.
All during the downtime, you’ll be able to collect trophies and update your profile. You will not, however, have access to the PS Store or other account features.
