PS Vita Locked To AT&T SIM Cards

PS Vita Locked To AT&T SIM Cards

If you saw Sony’s PS Vita press event at E3, there’s no doubt you heard when the crowed booed at the AT&T PS Vita 3G combo announcement. Here’s why.

The Verge’s reporting that the PS Vita’s locked to AT&T SIM Cards, which means cards from other carriers won’t work. In fact, the publication went ahead and inserted a T-Mobile SIM into the Vita, only to have the console error-out on them.

Shame, really, in this day and age that we have to suffer such stupid restrictions from greedy mobile carriers.

Thanks, Kotaku.
